About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Plant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our manufacturing facility. This role is critical in ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient production of essential oils, blends, and aromatherapy products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing leadership, preferably within a large-scale, GMP-compliant, or natural products environment.
Key Responsibilities
Production Management: Oversee daily plant operations, including blending, filling, packaging, and quality assurance of products.
Process Optimization: Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement strategies to maximize productivity and reduce waste.
Equipment Oversight: Ensure all production and storage equipment is maintained, calibrated, and functioning efficiently.
Inventory & Storage: Manage raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and proper storage conditions.
Team Leadership: Lead and manage a cross-functional team including supervisors, operators, and warehouse staff.
Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards, including GMP and ISO where applicable.
Reporting: Prepare regular reports on production output, inventory levels, downtime, and equipment status for senior leadership.
Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum 7–10 years of experience in plant or production management, with at least 3 years in a similar role within a large manufacturing or consumer goods company. Experience in natural products, cosmetics, or similar is highly preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Chemistry, or related field. Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, PMP) is a plus.
Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Proficient in ERP systems, production planning, and lean methodologies.
